WHITE FEAST: Experimental summertide lore & praxis -- Live reading by Leodrune Press

Join Sylvia & Tristan Eden of Leodrune Press for a live reading of their newest book, WHITE FEAST: Experimental summertide lore & praxis. Distinct from conventional discourse around seasonal ritual, the book explores the beauty and intensity of Summer as it is now, in a changing, volatilizing climate. Together we will move through poetry, myth, science and ceremony to uncover the occult virtues of the white-hot, sunlit Earth.

"In early summer, the year is a heavying udder. The grass is still green, frothing up from the soil like cakes of sea-foam. Eyes open wide to meet the Great Greenness; hind legs push toward it with mature power. The leaves are sweet, the flowers are sweet, the fruit has come. The babes of spring are grown and can feed themselves—now peers to their mothers and fathers, even competitors. Animal rhythms change; nights are full of activity as bodies bloom in warm darkness. Summer’s first exhale is gentle on us, but the sustained heat of the Sun provokes gentle breaths into rabid snarls."

Doors open at 6pm. Space is limited for this event. Please purchase your ticket to secure your spot.

ABOUT LEODRUNE PRESS

Leodrune Press is a small independent publishing house based in the Pacific Northwest. Our publications explore ritual, myth, and mysticism through a decidedly ecological lens, in response to the volatilizing climate we have inherited and the careful conduct being asked of us all. Our aim is to provoke readers to root down into the vital subsoil of Earth, beneath all traditions and orthodoxies, to experiment with raw, reciprocal ceremony.
